Designing logos can be a hard task. These are only a few alternatives I came up with when creating corporate identity to a friend of mine's company: www.lanceit.net They are all created with a vector based program ensuring that the logo looks exactly the same on its smallest format (let's say on a biro) and its largest one (a billboard or on a tail of an aeroplane). The best logos are simple and the grey scale version shows how would it look like in a black and white environment (e.g. a letterhead sent through via fax).
